Borneo Orangutan Tour, Explore Dayak Malaris and Bamboo Rafting

DAY 1 : ARRIVAL - PANGKALAN BUN – ORANGUTAN (L,D)
Upon your arrival, you will be picked up by our local staff and take you to Kumai to board on the boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 10m by 2m with a roof, which forms the upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. The guide's team includes the boatman, a cook and expert guide. Proceed to Tanjung Harapan, a rehabilitation center for orphaned orangutans, 2 hours away from Kumai. Here the playful and friendly baby orangutans are taught the first stages in fending themselves in the jungle. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the klotok while observe the monkeys along the riverside. Overnight on the boat.
DAY 02 : ORANGUTAN EXPLORATION (L, D)
After breakfast, board the klotok to travel up river for about 2 hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest. En route stop at Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans. At Camp Leakey you will have opportunity to trek into the rain forest with your expert guide and the forestry rangers to appreciate the flora as well as perhaps sighting wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. Lunch provided on boat. Afternoon visit the feeding station to see rehabilitate orangutans are given additional foods. Overnight on the boat.
DAY 03 : ORANGUTAN - PANGKALAN BUN - BANJARMASIN - PANDAK DAUN – LOKSADO (B,D)
After an early breakfast, sail back to Kumai and then to the airport for the flight at 09.30 -11.00. Afterwards then proceed to Cempaka village to see traditional diamond mining and polishing, Next, visiting Pandak Daun villagge, a village famous as the home of thousands of water buffaloes. Here most of the peoples have numerous water buffaloes, which are become a family business for a very long time. Afterwards, leaving to Loksado. You will arrive at late of evening, overnight on the local simple lodge for your dinner and accommodation.

DAY 04 : MUARA HATIP - MALARIS - HARATAI (B,L,D)
After breakfast, Transfer to Malaris to see traditional long house,then trekking to Haratai waterfall crossing forest, rivers, longhouses, hanging bridge and traditional farms. Afterwards, return to Loksado through different trail passing big trees, valley and 3-isolated village and longhouse. In the afternoon, return to the small lodge for dinner and accommodation.
DAY 05 : LOKSADO - BAMBOO RAFTING - BANJARMASIN AIRPORT (B,L)
After breakfast, Going to forest to cut the bamboos and setting the bamboo raft with villagers, then, do the bamboo rafting across mount Kantawan and tropical rainforest alongside of Amandit river. Return to airport of Banjarmasin.
