The Komodo Dragon Photo Safari 5 Day  Boat Tour

Route: LOMBOK - PERAMA ISLAND - SATONDA - KOMODO - LAB.BAJO – RINCA – MOYO – KRAMAT- LOMBOK A great adventure offered to explore Lombok, The Sumbawa Coast , and to see the dragons in their natural habitat.

The tour starts from Lombok with a half-day tour to visit traditional Lombok villages and it’s peoples’ daily life.  We will also stop in Lombok’s main pottery making village on the way to the harbor. With a newly designed boat, we will explore the beauty of The amazing Sumbawa coast with its beautiful small islands including the well known Komodo Island.  Then we are off to Labuan Bajo in Flores. On the way back, we will have a chance to visit Rinca, Moyo, and Keramat Island. We will then make our return to Lombok.

Day 1               

Depart from SENGGIGI (09.00), from MATARAM (10.00) by bus to Labuhan Lombok.

On our way we will make a few stops to visit traditional villages and see people’s daily life and their traditional markets. MAS BAGIK is one of Lombok’s main pottery producing villages with old traditional Lombok design. PERAMA DOCKING - see how people build a traditional phinisi boat and enjoy delicious banana fritters served by Haji Materu.

On the way to Kayangan Harbor, we pass KAMPUNG PADAK, a famous fisherman village.  Then we have the chance to take a walk along a short trail to see the panorama of the fisherman village, outrigger boats, traditional harbor, and a breathtaking view of the top of Holy Mt. Rinjani.  Next we will board our boat, have lunch, then sail to Perama Resort – a small island with white sandy beach, turquoise water with coral reefs & colorful fish complete with a spectacular view of majestic Mt. Rinjani.

(15.00) Arrive at Perama Resort for a range of activities- swimming, snorkeling, volleyball, watching the incredible sunset. You can also choose to take part in the coral reclamation activity. For dinner we will enjoy a mouth watering fresh fish barbeque followed by dancing, singing and storytelling together around a bonfire.

(21.00) Leave PERAMA Resort for a peaceful night sail to Satonda Island.

Day 2  

(07.00) Arrive in Satonda island - a beautiful small island with a natural salt-water lake.

Afterwards, we will go sightseeing around the island, hiking, bird watching and swimming in the lake. Then, back to the boat and have breakfast while sailing to Tanjung Batu Besar for snorkeling and other fun activities.

(17.30) Leave Donggo on a night sail to Komodo Island. Dinner on board.

Day 3               

(08.00) Arrive in Komodo Island – the main highlight of the program. Have breakfast, and then go ashore for HUNTING KOMODO by CAMERA.  Our special tour will be lead by two rangers walking us through the jungle to find the Komodo dragons as well as enjoy the island’s mesmerizing flora & fauna.

(11.30) Leave Komodo Island to Red Beach – an exotic white sandy beach with beautiful underwater world class snorkeling. Then lunch on board, as we sail off to Labuan Bajo.

(16.00) Arrive at Lab. Bajo for some extra programs such as strolling around the quaint town, witnessing the unreal sunset and other interesting activities.

Day 4               

(05.00) Depart from Lab Bajo to RINCA ISLAND. At 06.00 you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise view from the boat. Breakfast on board.  Rinca is the second biggest island in the Komodo National Park. This place is not only home to Varanus Komodoensis, but also home to wild animals such as Sunda Deer, wild buffalo, wild boar, the macaque monkey, wild horses and snakes.  From Rinca the trip continues to GILI LABA for swimming and snorkeling. Then, sail west to MOYO Island – a picturesque nature reserve.  On the way we stop for dinner on board at WERA.

Day 5  

(08.00) Arrive in MOYO. After breakfast, we will go ashore and walk past Labuhan Haji Village to a stunning waterfall. Along the way we will see the lovely local people’s daily activities and have a chance to interact with them. Then, well deserved relaxation time and a rewarding swim in the fresh-water pool of the waterfall.

(12.00) Leave Moyo, have lunch on board while sailing westward to Keramat Island. Upon arrival, a fun jump for the brave or use the speed boat to cross over to Keramat Island for snorkeling, swimming or just relaxing.

This is the last activity of the HUNTING KOMODO BY CAMERA program. After the program the boat sails back to Labuhan Lombok. Upon arrival at Labuan Lombok harbor, we will celebrate with a have a lively FAREWELL PARTY with a dinner feast and entertainment by the crew as we share our experiences.  Afterwards, we will leave the boat for a bus transfer to MATARAM or SENGGIGI.

3 DAYS KOMODO WILDIFE BOAT TOUR

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL LABUHAN BAJO – KALONG ISLAND (L,D)
On arrival in Labuan Bajo, board your boat and sail to Labuan Bajo airport - West Flores transfer to harbor for boarding the boat to Flying Fox Island. On the way if time permits stop over at Bidadari island for snorkeling in crystal clear waters and a white sandy beach for lunch. Then continue the trip to Flying fox island to see thousands of flying foxse (enourmous fruit bats flying over from the cave and mangroves). You will see all those attractions from the boat. Stay overnight on the boat, near the island.
 
DAY 02 : KALONG ISLAND – RINCA ISLAND – KOMODO ISLAND – RINCA ISLAND (B,L,D)
Early morning, sail to Rinca Island. Short walk to track the dragons and other wildlife in the park. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board. Rinca, an island in The Komodo National Park complex, about 2.5 hours sail from Flores mainland has mostly low vegetation and grassland. A good place for viewing the fauna.  After the soft and enjoyable walk at Rinca, we will then head to Komodo island, about 2.5 hours sail. Arrival at Komodo island, then walk to the mainland to search for the dragon in their natural habitat. After the visit to Komodo, we sail back to Rinca. Meals and overnight on boat.
 
DAY 03 :RINCA – LABUHAN BAJO (B)
Breakfast at the boat, sail back to the boat harbor of Labuhan Bajo, then transfer to the airport and fly to.
